BTW, my 11 year-old slides, kept in archival sleeves in a dark room, look just as good as the day they were made. Skin tones are impressively accurate.

Love it, and even though I’m using the new Portras more and more, 1100f I need to shoot chrome it’s always Provia. I love looking at the resultant transparencies on a light table then scanning at a very high resolution. Medium overall contrast and saturation make this film ideal for use in a wide range of photographic applications and is especially well-suited for use in product, landscape, nature, portraiture, and fashion photography.
Features Super-fine Grain Finely detailed image formation for large-size enlargements and other work requiring high-magnification as a result of the finest grain among Pgovia color reversal films. Like all slide films, it has much narrower exposure latitude than negative film, which make it challenging to use, but when you nail the exposure the results are brilliant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Matt from versatile film with that chrome pop I really enjoy shooting this slide tuji it’s such a pleasure to see it when it comes back from the lab and know that what I see is what I get; that is, the color and contrast the film was designed to have are apparent from the film itself, as compared to negative film that I must scan and whose look I must then try to recapture in photoshop, or raw digital files that don’t have any particular feel.

Your best results will come when you try to expose for the shadows of a scene.

I keep coming back to it because the results are stunning when properly exposed. Long live Fuji E6 films-I don’t think they’ll totally get out of the slide film race like Kodak did. I strongly suggest running a roll or two of Provia through your camera and see for yourself how bold and accurate it really is. I’ve used this film out of date by a year and kept refrigerated and I don’t lose any color quality, tonal range remains consistent.
